The pin-up girl. The name painted in script. The Flying Fortress that became the most famous bomber of World War II.
The Memphis Belle.
Captain Bob Morgan named her after his girlfriend back home in Memphis, Margaret Polk. The Belle's iconic art, painted by Corporal Tony Starcer, became one of the most recognizable images of the war: a beautiful woman in a bathing suit, waving from the side of a bomber. It wasn't just aviation art. It was a reminder of what they were fighting to get back to.
And the odds?
Brutal. Many bomber crews didn't make it past five missions. But Morgan and his crew had a goal: 25. That was the magic number, the finish line that meant you could go home.
In May of 1943, the Memphis Belle completed her 25th mission. She came home. So did her crew. They became legends, sent back to the States to sell war bonds and show the nation that survival was possible.
The Memphis Belle aircraft is now at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, fully restored after years of painstaking work fixing her up. You can see the Belle there, preserved as she was, a testament to the airmen who flew into flak and fighters and somehow made it back to inspire America to persevere until victory.
This decanter captures that legacy. Each one is made with real aircraft skin-type metal and hand-formed and hand-riveted using traditional aviation manufacturing techniques.
Designed in collaboration with Cockpit Creations, every rivet, every line, every contour of this decanter is crafted with the same precision that kept the Belle in the air. It stands as aviation memorabilia in its purest form, a collectible decanter created for those who value history, craftsmanship, and meaningful aviation gifts.
Pick one up. If you've ever worked on a plane, you'll get it.
As av geeks, we know the Memphis Belle's story deserves a hell of a lot more than a museum placard. It deserves to be poured from, talked about, and passed down when it's time.
Whether you share the Belle's legacy as a gift for a veteran, a WWII aviation gift, or a unique military gift meant to be kept for generations, this decanter carries the weight of a story that earned its place in history.
Keeping that alive is on you now.
